With the formation of Cyberspaces which was followed by the emergence of Social Networks, Media organizations & traditional media faced with new threats & opportunities. New challenges of Internet – based new media are an issue for traditional ones and they have always been a debate case for experts. The main issue of this research is to explain the challenges of IRIB in regard to cyberspace now & then, and try to propose solutions for how to deal with such challenges. Since monitoring & influencing in cyberspaces is officially put on the shoulder of Deputy of Cyberspaces at IRIB, which is newly on foot, therefore, this research tries to survey on opportunities, threats, strengths & weaknesses, in order to find and introduce solutions to this challenge. Strategies intended by this research provide this deputy the potency not to be passive in confronting social networks & their activities or even take the lead. Delphi method has been applied as the methodology of this research and by taking advantage of David’s Strategic Planning model, the work is done in 3 stages, attaining important results. For this purpose, the views & attitudes of 18 veteran media experts have aided this research. According to findings of this research, the challenges for IRIB can be divided into two groups: Present Challenges & Future Challenges in which each of them has its own solutions. The findings show that the strengths & opportunities are more than weaknesses & threats. And finally, aggressive strategies have been suggested as the most suitable ones.
