The best ways to produce non-curricular educational podcasts for the Z generation from the experts' point of view

The characteristics, demands, and needs of Generation Z as a significant and influential age group in society have become a major topic of discussion in recent years. It appears that education for this generation must move beyond traditional models, as they seek innovative educational content and tools. 1 This research, given the surge in popularity and diversity of podcasts, aims to explore the potential of podcasts as a novel medium for educating Generation Z. The research question is: What formal and content-based characteristics should educational podcasts for Generation Z possess? The research method involved in-depth interviews with 10 experts and qualitative content analysis of the data. The findings revealed that effective content delivery methods, captivating Generation Z audiences through interactive experiences, and selecting engaging topics for Generation Z should be prioritized in the production of these podcasts.
