Abstract
The development of cultural infrastructure is a requirement for cultural development in every national and political geography. One of the symbols of culture in every country is cinema and movie theaters. According to official statistics published by cultural institutions in the last decade, the number of movie theaters in the country has increased with investments from the public and private sectors. The development of cultural infrastructure creates the need for studying various dimensions for better decision-making by managers and policymakers. One of the needs in this area is to identify the factors that have the greatest impact on the successful development of the country's cultural infrastructure. This research, by choosing the movie theater industry as its study case, seeks to identify the key factors of success in the development of movie theaters. For this purpose, first, by using interviews with experts in this industry and analyzing the content of the interviews, five factors were identified as key factors of success: providing appropriate equipment, correct architecture, understanding the environment, trans-organizational communications, and managerial ability. Also, by using the interpretive structural modeling method, the relationships between these factors were identified and a three-level model was designed.
