One of the important concerns of the human has been and is finding an answer to the concept of ‘identity’ but up until now, no clear answer has been presented for that. In its broad sense, identity is a complex of the individual’s opinions, properties and spirits and what distinguishes him from the others. But apart from this broad concept, in spite of voluminous research, the feminine identity has not been dealt with as it deserves. Therefore, much more capacity is required to be studied regarding that. Radio drama is one of such capacities. In this article, the developmental structure of the feminine identity in media productions (radio shows) was studied and to do this, several Iranian plays and foreign plays with Iranian arrangement were studied through the content analysis method and Kristeva’s approach. The female characters of these plays were studied and analyzed based on Kristeva's criteria, and finally, the female characters created by the Iranian writers were compared with those created by foreign writers. The results show that furbishing of the female characters in the plays of this decade has enjoyed more growth and welcoming than the decades before the Islamic Revolution, but by comparing the Iranian plays with the foreign ones with Iranian arrangement, the shortcomings and weaknesses of furbishing of the feminine characters in the Iranian plays are addressed both in terms of the form and the content.
